With over 15 billion web pages, it's about time we get a chance to organize our bookmarks. Before del.icio.us, we were limited to bookmarking our favorite websites on our web browsers. This new method of bookmarking works on a website which allows access to ones bookmarks from other computers.
Slacker Manager provides eight 'Habits' which are bound to reel in new users to sign up. Among the many tools del.icio.us provides, my favorites are the organizing of bookmarks and the social side to del.icio.us. Organizing the bookmarks are done through tagging. Tagging also enhances networking by allowing users to view what others are bookmarking. This allows a user to find the most interesting site.
I am a beginner and look forward to mastering del.icio.us. This reading helped pave a cleaner road to understanding how social bookmarking functions.

I too blogged on the social bookmarking site of del.icio.us. I don't know if it's just because I don't follow too much of the newer internet technologies, but I find it to be intriguing and complicated all at once. I think the idea of having your bookmarks saved and shared with other people online is wonderful, but the process seems to be difficult for the older generation or those like me that are technologically challenged. I hope that I will be able to catch up with all the youngsters out there and learn this site!
I agree with you jesse, I do believe that del.icio.us is a website that has brought a positive outlook for us all. I too am a amateur and have not yet mastered the site to its full advantage but i look foward to doing so.
I think one of the more interesting features is the may the tags create a repository of information. Just exploring the tags and finding all relevant information is an interesting way of handling information.
Like all of you I am still trying to get the hang of del.icio.us but even now I find it to be a very powerful tool when it comes to finding information on the web. Still, Digg.com is still my favorite over del.icio.us. It's information is also sorted and organized my the users, but it prioritizes it in order of how many people find it interesting at that particular moment. I have found this to be a great filter for information.
