The Art of Blogging

In this weeks reading, I thought I should start a discussion of the purpose of blogging. It is hard for me to grasp the idea of Twittering but after reading the chapter and completing the podcast with my group, I have a better understanding on this networking site which only allows a limited amount of characters to be published per blog, or microblog.

I can certainly agree with you on that one. Before taking this course i knew very little of the advancements of social media. After doing our podcast and learning over certain social media tools such as Twitter I have grasped a good understanding of the social media world!

Wow good job Jesse on grabbing a reader outside the class dog. It looks like just about everyone else in our Podcasting group has commented on this post, so i guess I'll throw my 2 cents in too. While it is true that I gained a much better understanding of Twitter and it's uses after doing our project on it, I still really don't get what all the fuss is all about. It seems to me that the only motivation of having a Twitter account is to gain followers, as opposed to following others. Because I don't really fell like keeping my followers (both of them... literally) up to date with everything I'm doing during the day, my Twitter interest died out just a few hours after setting up my account. I don't know, maybe I'll have a Twit-piphany and realize how amazing it truly is, but don't hold your breath...
